How can the ISO rating on my building affect the insurance premiums?

ISO is an independent organization that rates buildings for many different factors that effect the insurability of the building.

That report is given to insurance underwriters who use the information contained with the ISO report to provide an insurance premium. This means the ISO rating on your building is very important because a poor ISO rating can mean an increase in premium.

It can also mean a decrease as well if you have measure in place that make your building safer or less combustible.
