NY Auto Insurance Full Coverage

Did you know that Full Coverage auto insurance in New York is not actually a real term?

There is no such thing as New York auto insurance full coverage…

“Full Coverage” is insurance lingo.

When most people refer to Full Coverage what they are actually referring to is Physical Damage coverage, specifically Comprehensive and Collision coverage.

Comprehensive physical damage auto insurance provides reimbursement for damage done to your car at actual cash value (minus the deductible) from losses such as:

  • Falling object
  • Car starts on fire
  • Vandalism
  • Lightning
  • Hit an animal
  • and others…

Collision physical damage auto insurance provides reimbursement for damage done to your car at actual cash value (minus the deductible) from a collision loss where you are the at-fault driver or there is no fault.

Full Coverage is auto insurance slang.

It’s important to understand that when you refer to NY auto insurance Full Coverage it is possible that you may not get what you want because the term full coverage is not a technical auto insurance term.
